Mitsuharu Misawa dies after taking lethal suplex...

This past saturday night Pro Wrestling great Mitsuharu Misawa was incapacitated in the ring after his opponent Akitoshi Saito executed a suplex which left Misawa unconscious.
Apparently this Japanesse Legend was not able to tuck his head properly when this move was executed and suffered damage to his cervical spinal cord, a doctor in attendance and EMT's attempted to use an AED in an unending attempt to start his heart but were unsuccessful.Misawa made his pro debut in 1981 under ring name Tiger Mask II and was very popular for a 6 year term before unmasking and utilizing his real name which even increased his popularity more, he was regarded in Japan by the same standards as Hulk Hogan is regarded here in the U.S. to Wrestling fans. His ring arsenal was extremely hard hitting and ironically the suplex was a signature move that he often utilized to the appreciation of the crowd and Wrestlers alike.Misawa was to turn 47 years old on june 18 but it was not to be because on this fateful night in front of a live crowd of about 2300 the Japanesse legend would unfortunately say goodbye to all Wrestling fans and Wrestlers alike doing what he loved to do performing and competing in the sport and art form that he loved. The last death in Japan in a Pro Wrestling ring was back in 2000 when Masakasu Fukuda died after a severe head stike ended his life, he was only 27 years old.To all fans and non-fans alike this should be a wake up call on the serious nature that is Pro Wrestling and how REAL the hazards are when these athletes compete and perform for there entertainment. My sincere condolensces to the family of Mr. Misawa and to all fans around the world that had the honor of seeing this great Japanesse star exibit his craft...Rest in Peace Mr. Misawa.
