C M Punk defeats John Cena for The WWE Title @ Money in The Bank PPV and leaves the company with the Belt...

Oh it's true, C M Punk Delivers a defeat to Cena One week ago and as he promised he would do, He left the WWE after his final match with the Win and the Belt...By The Entertainment Wrestling company's standards this is a first, it was attempted once before by Bret Hart but he was unsuccessful in his fight to leave on his final match as Champion, Vince McMahon made sure of that in what we call a shoot Match...The Montreal Screw Job where Bret Hart was placed in his very own finishing move(The SharpShooter) by Shawn Michaels and the ref called for the bell without Hart ever Giving up Directed by the company's Owner: Vince McMahon...
Vince was unable to sign Punk to an extended contract prior to it expiring, we're talking a multi year multi million dollar deal that by Pro-Wrestling standards some would argue was a bit excessive but Punk appeared to stick to his guns in just wanting to win and leave with The Belt...
Two weeks ago on an episode of Monday night Raw, Punk took a Mic and on Live National TV suggested he would beat Cena for the Belt and would then defend it in other independent promotions such as R.O.H. (Ring of Honor) and New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Not to mention the WWE's only actual Competitor here in The States T.N.A. (Impact Wrestling)Shortly after those remarks he verbally assaulted the McMahon Family...His Mic was then cut off so he was silenced by way of technology, then what does he then do, he continues to speak via the Internet....Pretty rough predicament for Vince and The WWE as a company....Last Monday Night an 8 man tournament was announced which left 2 participants to Battle it out tomorrow night on The Live Broadcast of Monday Night Raw to Crown The New WWE Champion...Rey Mysterio Vs. The Miz...Who Will Win? That is The Big Question and how will CM Punk impact the Independent Wrestling scene as we know it ? This presents another good question which will only be answered in time...If this is your Typical Storyline it has been very well done, If in Fact this is a shoot situation, I as a Former Active Pro-Wrestler and a Wrestling(The Sport)Fan, Welcome it with Open Arms...Let me give a shout out to My Colleague: Paul D. Who I must add Dominated The Legal Dept. By a large margin last month in our Law Firm..He is the current Champion..Will The Setzenator Defeat him this Month for that Honor...In one weeks time that question will be answered...Till next Blog...Peace!!!

Hulk Hogan recovering from another back surgery

Finally the Ernster has come BACK..To the blogesphere...Of course the Rock would have done that much better......With a mic inhand.....It's been a while since I laid the smaketh down with some new words...A hiatus if you will...Anyway I'm back BROTHEERR....With that in mind, get well ententions have to be sent out to the Hulkster, the man deserves huge support for the years of endurance in the ring, It's obvious that the multiple back surgeries he's had of late are a direct corolation of being slammed, backdropped and Many other bumps taken for multiple years of endured abuse as well of course, executing and delivering backdrops, bodyslams, suplexes and especially the Leg Drop(his finisher)...Multiplte time WWE Champion that basically became a household name, In fact if one would you ask anyone else about Wrestling, even today, his name still carries that Title. Because it just does...When Terry Bolea was in his prime, he was the closest human being to a real superhero that has ever existed in the minds of kids and adults alike....
His run as Champion in terms of Box Office are incredible...I was @ Wrestlemania III when he picked up Andre the Giant and slammed him to the Mat, at the time it was called the SLAM heard around the World, Amazing display of superhuman strenth(for real)...Taking into consideration of course, that at the time Andre weighed an access of 570 lbs. 7' 2" tall...Now, with no assist, Hogan grabbed him and actually scooped him up and over then slammed him and of course delivered The Patented Leg Drop for the win...As the Nature Boy would say:Whooooooooooooooo...Pretty Amazing to have seen it Live.....Anyway Hulkster We believe if you unleash the 24" pythons on this whole setback, you will come out of it on top....Best wishes Brotherrrr...Oh and lets not forget, Train say your prayers and take your vitamins, Till next post, Later....

WWE presents The Elimination Chamber Match Tonight for the WWE Title....

It is finally here and most experts are predicting that The current WWE Champion Sheamus will retain The Title tonight...I prefer that a Championship Match always be decided in a one on one confrontation however the Elimination Chamber presents a totally different schenario when deciding the victor and it is quite punishing to say the least on all the Wrestlers bodies to perform and compete in this behemoth cell that will leave the athletes is a battered and bloody state...WWE has attempted to maintain a PG rating but in this particular match it certainly does present another challenge...Blood and Guts are the norm and although I am sure that ringside doctors will be ready to clean up the blood when a wrestler is cut to maintain this PG appeal, it will certainly be challenging...The participants are all accomplished Pro's that are being put tonight to the test on the world stage that is the Elimination Chamber Match to get the big prize: The WWE Championship...I am hoping that Randy Orton will once again conclude this night with a victory to again become the WWE Champion(He is by far the most skilled of all the grapplers)...In other matches: Edge vs. Batista....For the World HW Title: The Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho(I predict Jericho will be the new Champ)....In the top 3 matches I wish all the fighters the best with minimal injuries on this night, It will a difficult task to maintain but they're all very skilled Pro's in this game that is Sports Entertainment......

Couture Wins Again @ UFC 109 beating Coleman via submission....

Randy Couture once again puts another win under his Belt...This guy is pretty amazing, how many 46 year olds can you say that about in MMA headlining a show...He is essentially "The Nature" Boy Ric Flair of Mixed Martial Arts, age has not been a stopping factor for Randy and I believe he has another 3 fights left on his contract...But realistically Coleman was well beyond his prime...He took a beating all night and he was just able to get thru the 1st round with an open cut above his left eye, Couture then persued him got a takedown and mounted his back, was relentless with punches then secured a rear naked choke for the win @ 1:09 in the 2nd round...Couture goes to 18-10 and Coleman to 16-10....Tito Ortiz got under Coleman's skin after the fight with Coleman responding F U Ortiz...Randy always the gentleman said not bad for 46 years old Huh...UFC 109 drew a gate of 10,600+ and $2.27 million, not bad but when you take into consideration that UFC 100 took in a gate of $5.1 million at the same resort then you have to consider that the economy has had an affect on the world of MMA as well...As a matter of fact when Lesnar fought his last fight they got 1.5 million buys on PPV, the last UFC PPV only got about 420,000 buys...Big Difference...UFC has to get Lesnar bock in the game asap...And the outlook is that he will have his next fight in July...If Randy can continue to win then another shot at the belt will be in order I presume...Congrat's to Couture...Nice solid performance...

Strikeforce:Miami Delivers HardHitting MMA Spectacular...

It's all said and done and the Fights presented last night Delivered Big unfortunately the crowd last night just outside Miami failed to do the same by my estimation...You have a pretty decent card being presented in sunrise, Fla. with guys that bolster some accomplishments here, and the Crowd was @ best respectful and not very enthusiatic thru most of the show...Let's run down the top 5 fights: Current TNA Superstar Bobby Lashley defeated Wes Sims to lift his record to 5-0 @ 2:06 in the 1st round...Lashley has power and good flexibility for someone as stacked as he is and brings in impressive credentials from both amateur and Pro-Wrestling...His opponent however is not by any means the top MMA Superstar or Champion that will bring top level competition to the table...Lashley at this points needs to be challenged..He is good but he is no Brock Lesnar who would actually give Fedor Emelianenko(Strikeforce's Top Dog) a real challenge...Bobby needs to develope more aggresion to Match up with Fedor and actually give him a fight...At this point and time I don't see that in his performance yet..But as he has said, he is a student of the game, and he is still developing....
KO of the night had to go to Robbie Lawler @ 3:33 in the 1st round...He completely stopped Melvin Manhoeff with a right hook that left Melvin literally unconciuos (devestating shot) infact lawler thru a total of 3 strikes all match, he was pummeled for 3:30 with severe leg kicks that left his right leg completely bruised where he had trouble walking after the fight...One shot..BAM..Amazing.....Got the knock out...
Then 47 year old Hershel walker (now 1-0)made his Pro debut in MMA by defeating Greg Nagy that came in with 1-2 record and left with a 1-3 record, Clearly this guy is not one of the better MMA fighters out there today...Hershel trained hard performed and proved a point to fans and cretics alike..Age may not be a factor for some...For the 145 Womans Title, Champ and Brazilian Powerhouse Cris"Cyborg"Santos defeated a very tough Marloes Coenen to retain the Belt in the 3rd round with a TKO..Cyborg goes to 9-1 and Marloes to 17-4...
Then Strikeforce's WW Title was up for grabs as both competitors went in it to take the Belt..Nick Diaz was relentless and fittin to his name "Ruthless" as he pounded Marius Zaromskis to capture the Vacant Title @ 4:38 in the 1st round...
All and all it was a good presentation of MMA, the fans in Fla. left a lot to be desired reaction to the action wise....I'd like to see a formidable and challenging opponent for Bobby Lashley now that he is signed to compete in a future broadcast...Congrats to the winners last night for a job well done...To the losers, back to the drawing board...

Strikeforce finally books Bobby Lashley vs. Wes Simms giving both men one week to prepare...

As the old saying goes: better late then never...Such is the case here in finding an opponent for Bobby Lashley....That victim perhaps appears to be Wes Simms...Only the actual fight can determine how this will go but in all likelyhood Simms is being put in a position to literally get pummeled to raise Lashley's standing in the MMA world....He is accomplished as an amateur wrestler and as a Pro-Wrestler as well..That's pretty obvious but can and will he be able to do the same in MMA? That's really the Question here!!
Unless they can book Lashley against a formidable and accomplished opponent in this fight game that question will really never be answered...I'm thinking Bobby vs. Fedor in the future and I am hoping that this will come to pass in Strikeforce......In any event good luck to all the combatants tommorrow night and let's have a great show....

WWE vs. TNA Match of the Night...A J Styles retains World Title with pin over Kurt Angle...

Last Monday Night was like older times when both of the major Pro-Wrestling organizations went head to head for Ratings supremacy...The result was as expected with WWE Winning the war with a rating of 3.7 while TNA did an all time high of 1.5 generating just under 2.3 million viewers which technically is a huge win in regards to the demographic that they are targeting...All in all it was a great night of Pro-Wrestling and Sports Entertainment as a whole...The fans ultimately were the winners...Some excellent matches were presented on both sides...The clear winner however by my estimation for match of the night was the TNA World Title match which saw both combatants AJ Styles and Kurt Angle Wrestle for the Belt on what was a spectacular match...I thought that Angle would end up getting the upper hand and keeping it to a finish...He applied his finisher on Styles at least 4 times once even sitting on the mat with leverage and AJ still was able release himself from that position and after a huge exchange of moves and counters from both men Styles was relentless in beating Angle with his Finisher, after the 3rd attempt he finally got a clean pin in the center of the ring...Awesome match that by my estimation won match of the night(seems fitting since it was for the Belt)...The big guns that were the focal part of the Shows Bret Hart and Hulk Hogan did also deliver with announcements that will ultimately be extremely beneficial and exciting for future shows for both WWE and TNA...I did not expect RAW to end as it did with Mr. McMahon kicking Bret Hart in his jewels, but it left a clif hanger so to speak as to what will come out of this in weeks to come...I see perhaps The New Hart Dynasty inflicting some pain on the McMahon clan that will obviously be directed by Bret with a possible Bret vs Vince showdown at Wrestlemania where Hart will in likelihood leave McMahon a bloody mess...Remmember this has been 12years in the making since the Montreal screw job on Hart....Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischof brought in some talent that is certainly in demand for sure, let's see how they will be used in future shows and let's hope that this will bring some very exciting and competative Wrestling Matches in the near future...And Oh Yeah...Give The Nature Boy the Mic ASAP...We want to hear Slick Ric speak...Whoooooooo....Till next Blog bye for now...
